About Chase-N-Fins Charters

NC saltwater fishing at its best!

ChaseNFins Charters is all about safety, fun, and loading coolers! Captain Joe Jenkins is an experienced Coast Guard veteran and he’s been fishing from the best spots all over the North Carolina coastline. His main priority is safety for everyone on board while enjoying the gorgeous waters of Carolina Beach and reeling in some delicious fish.

Your trip starts at the Waterfront Yacht Club. Capt. Joe will give you a safety briefing and check what you hope to catch, so he can tailor the trip to your needs. There is no minimum age policy for kids, just make sure to mention in advance if you will bring them along, so the appropriate life vests can be prepared.

You’ll be fishing from a 23’ Sea Hunt center console. She can comfortably accommodate up to 4 anglers and everybody can fish at the same time. The boat is powered by a 225 HP Suzuki engine that can reach the maximum speed of 32 knots.

Depending on the fishing grounds and depths you visit, you can expect different types of fish. Closer to the shore, you are most likely to reel in Flounder, Spanish, and Cobia, while offshore trips can bring you Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, or Barracuda.

The captain will clean and fillet your catch free of charge if the total weight is under 50 pounds – for heavier loads a small fee is applied. Feel free to bring your snacks and drinks.

ChaseNFins Charters offer trips year round, you just need to decide when you want to join them!

About Captain Joe Jenkins

Captain Joe Jenkins

Captain Joe Jenkins began fishing the coast of NC in the 1980s mainly out of Topsail Beach, NC. Growing up catching flounder, Spanish, cobia and other inshore species of course led to venturing offshore and quickly getting hooked on king mackerel, Mahi, wahoo, grouper, snapper, and bill fishing! After an 8 year detour in the US Coast Guard, Capt. Joe and his family came back home to continue fishing and loading coolers in the Wilmington/Carolina Beach/Southport areas! Fishing on everything from 18’ flats boats gigging and sticking the flatties to the awesome deep bluewater in 50’ sport fishers landing blue marlin, wahoo, Mahi, and tuna!
